Bio

Dr. Cai got BA degree from the Department of Control Science and Engineering in 1993 and MS degree in 2003 and Ph.D. degree in 2007 from School of Computer Science and Technology of Shandong University respectively. She is now an associate professor with the Research Center of Intelligent Information Processing of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Shandong University. From August 2009 to August 2010, she visited the Image Processing and Neural Network Lab of the University of Texas at Arlington as a visiting scholar supported by National Scholarship for High Education to learn and develop optimization algorithms of artificial neural network and also studied other related work about machine learning, digital signal processing pattern recognition. Dr. Cai is also the member of Chinese Computer Federation, Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, IEEE, ACM.


Research Interests

Dr. Cai's research interests include optimization algorithms for machine learning especially for artificial neural network , also lie in digital signal processing and image/video recognition.

  • During 2009.8-2010.9, she was supported by the Chinese Scholarship for young backbone teachers of high education, to being a researching visitor with the Image Processing and Neural Network Lab in the University of Texas at Arlington.
